ye zaroori nahi ki dard tumhara samjhe koi
dard khud apna samajh paane mein bhi umr kat jaati hai

maazi ki rusvaaiyon se bojhal is man ko
kaafilon mein bhi tanha is man ko
jhooth ki sachchaaiyon mein bhatakte is man ko
Khud hi manana ha,khud hi
samjhana hai

Dil mein base gehan andheron ko
Pyar ki pavitra lau se mitana hai
zindagi bas is liye mili hai ki
Khud ko pana hai
Khuda ko pana hai

loved it. but, to be honest, its untrue. I for one - culturally perhaps very alien to you - see a lot of meaning in your poetry.

@sangitaa sehgall: That is so beautifully written.. had to read it thrice to completely absorb it... yeah.. that is so true...and in today's time it is becoming more and more pertinent as well....

@Psmith: Thanks... :) many a times i find myself explaining what i mean to people..and frankly even those explanations seem a little futile..And at times i find myself trying to grasp the other person's perspective... Is it really possible to step into someone else's shoes? to see someone else's point of view? i don't know... may be..may be not

@Psmith: But it's true, isn't it?
Just the other day I was trying to explain this concept to someone... Must remember this quote

We see things not as they are, but as we are. Anais Nin I think.

So maybe someone found more meaning in it than even you did.
